Job description:

With over 25 years of experience, EDSS Sanitation Solutions is one of the leading providers of food plant sanitation services to food manufacturing facilities. We understand how critical food plant sanitation is to the success of your operation so we take contract cleaning quality and safety very seriously.

We handle every detail of your sanitation program; from on-site management of nightly cleaning crews to managing and maintaining all appropriate documentation necessary for the internal, third party, BRC, SQF, CFIA, and USDA (FSA) audits to name a few.

    $50k – $65K

Note: Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check and MTO Abstract

Responsibilities:

  • Complete accountability for assigned accounts, including setting and maintaining quality standards, site performance and the integrity of the account.
  • Liaise with clients regularly, providing business reviews and updates.
  • Develop and maintain on-going working relationship with site facility management and/or tenants.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections and prepare monthly reports.
  • Ensure accurate records of work performed are completed for all sites.
  • Monitor all sites for new developments and changes, propose and implement change as needed.
  • Monitor and assess buildings for additional services or "extras" that could be provided.
  • Coordinate and organize additional tasks or project work at various sites.
  • Monitor and control labour hours and budgets for all accounts.
  • Hire, train, monitor, evaluate and performance manage staff for all sites.
  • Administer payroll and provide changes to employee and staffing details.
  • Ensure that all requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are followed.
  • Ensure that all requirements of the Employment Standards Act are followed.

Requirements:

  • 3 or more years of experience in Operational Management in a service focused industry, including client and staff management. Experience in a Janitorial/ Commercial Cleaning industry is require.
  • Ability to manage budgets including labour, equipment and supplies as well as determining and overseeing resources and costs for project work.
  • A team player who embraces supporting colleagues and sharing resources.
  • Experience with recruiting, training, developing and building staff engagement, and allocating staff resources according to scheduling requirements.
  • Exposure and/or experience with labour relations represented employees and is an asset.
  • Fluency in English written and oral is mandatory, additional languages are an asset.
  • Technical skills include; ability to use MS Office suite of software, familiarity with janitorial equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to travel daily within assigned territory and conduct regular client and site visits is mandatory therefore a License in good standing, along with a clean driver abstract is required.
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP is not required but it is an asset
