Main Duties:
As an Electronic Service Technician, you will perform the following duties:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair janitorial and cleaning equipment such as auto scrubbers, vacuums, carpet extractors, and power sweepers.
Inspect and test electronic components, control panels, and circuitry using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testers.
Diagnose, isolate, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults in equipment.
Adjust, calibrate, replace, or repair electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and components following manuals and schematics.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Maintain detailed service records, including inspection, repair, and testing reports.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company maintenance procedures.
Assist in organizing parts inventory and maintaining tools and equipment in the warehouse.
May train or guide junior staff on proper use and maintenance of electronic cleaning equipment.
Qualifications
Completion of a two- to three-year college program in electronics, electrical repair, or a related field, or a four-year apprenticeship program in electronic servicing and repair, or equivalent high school or college-level electronics courses combined with relevant on-the-job training experience.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail when handling delicate electronic components.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical and mechanical repair work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic instruments (e.g., multimeters, circuit testers).
Basic computer literacy to log repair data, complete maintenance reports, and use diagnostic software if required.
Physical ability to lift or move moderately heavy equipment (up to 40 lbs) and perform hands-on work in a warehouse or workshop environment.
Experience working with small motors, control systems, or industrial/cleaning equipment is an asset.
