The Role

The Mining Sales Manager for Mining reports to the Regional Director for Mining and is responsible for providing day-to-day oversight to the team by keeping them informed and on track with their respective account set. The Manager will help individuals on the team to develop account plans, provide regular feedback and coaching and contribute to the team culture of accountability and growth.

The focus will be on driving new revenue within accounts to increase the footprint of Seequent technologies both in terms of signing up more users as well as introducing new products into the mix. The Team Manager will help Account Executives (AE) achieve their monthly, quarterly and annual targets for new revenue.

As part of the North American management team, this position will work with other key members of the broader team such as Technical Services, "Deal Desk" Renewals Team, Product and Marketing Teams to ensure that the strategies and programs which are developed are federated throughout the AE team and that they have clear line of sight to what's happening across the broader company. Communicating consistently and impactfully to the team about what's happening, what's expected from them and creating a clear outcome that they need to strive towards are also crucial to being successful in the role. Employees should be very clear about the role they play in Seequent's future and have a good understanding of all the tools, support and guidance available to them to help them succeed.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead a large team of account managers. Create best practices in forecasting and commitments, operations, providing clear directions, problem solving and target achievement for the team and individuals
  • Build skills and competencies across the team and continuously raise the engagement and empower accountability of the team
  • Work with and support existing and potential customers leveraging the wider NAM team to achieve Seequent's profit expectations and revenue targets for North America
  • Understand customer experience journeys and sequential timelines, making sure each step is optimized, resourced, and measured.
  • Be the voice of the customer in terms of market feedback, product usage/development and emerging new products
  • Understand and lead the connectiveness of all customer facing teams from marketing to technical services to onboarding and training and orchestrate where each operate and successful KPI's
  • Understand the fiscal requirements for the year in North America and build up a view of where the revenue will come from and what initiatives and teams
  • Provide quarterly and monthly forecasts and commitments vs targets

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • People management Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic account management
  • 5+ years Enterprise SaaS business
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Exceptional SalesForce, organizational and time management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to influence C-Suite/VP leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, respond to customer needs quickly and effectively, and adaptive to change
  • Excellent knowledge of the company's and competitors' products

Working conditions

Travel within NAM may be required to deliver business development, customer training sessions and project assistance.
