Your Mission:

As Technical Project Lead, you'll be our first dedicated technical hire in Toronto. In this hybrid role,

you'll lead on-site technical execution while supporting producers through planning and

coordination.

You're a strong AV technician with live event experience, ready to step up. You'll work closely with

our VP of Sales & Production, shadowing and learning at first — and eventually owning entire

technical workstreams from planning through strike.

Your work will directly impact the quality and reputation of our events in the GTA and across

Canada.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Production & Planning

  • Assist in technical design and planning for corporate events
  • Create gear lists and technical documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers, freelancers, and AV partners
  • Draft show flows, load-in/load-out plans, and tech schedules
  • Join client calls and help align expectations and timelines

Technical Leadership & On-Site Execution

  • Act as technical lead during set-up, rehearsals, and tear-down
  • Supervise on-site AV crews and vendors
  • Operate sound systems for corporate presentations when needed
  • Troubleshoot issues calmly and efficiently during showtime
  • Ensure safe, seamless, and professional event delivery

Coordination & Growth

  • Collaborate with Producers to improve workflows
  • Take on delegated PM tasks over time
  • Provide post-event technical feedback
  • Help shape systems and structure as the team grows

Profil Sought:

We're looking for someone versatile and ambitious, a technician with leadership potential who

is ready to grow into project management.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in AV and corporate events
  • Strong working knowledge of audio systems; video an asset
  • On-site leadership experience and problem-solving skills
  • A professional and calm presence with clients and crew
  • Interest in evolving toward a Project Manager or Technical Director role
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Based in the Greater Toronto Area with availability to travel across Canada
  • A valid driver's license is a strong asset
