About the role

Intact Financial Corporation is an innovative company specializing in the insurance sector, offering advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect businesses' applications and infrastructures. We are looking for an analyst passionate about application security to join our Intact Lab unit and ensure the rigorous implementation of application security (AppSec) practices.

Mission: As a Technical Analyst within Intact Lab's Application Security team, you will be responsible for applying and automating application security practices based on the policies and guidelines of the security and compliance team. You will also work to optimize the efficiency of our security systems while preserving the developer experience.

What you'll do here:

  • Apply and automate application security policies according to the guidelines of Intact's security and compliance team.
  • Design tools to sort and distribute critical vulnerabilities to developers, ensuring they are efficiently remediated.
  • Collaborate with the artificial intelligence team to develop and integrate an automated agent into our continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, capable of detecting, fixing, and testing vulnerabilities.
  • Align the implementation of security tools with Intact Lab's software development lifecycle (SDLC), suggesting or making improvements to preserve or enhance the developer experience.
  • Oversee or participate in internal security audits and penetration tests to identify system weaknesses.
  • Coordinate security items, ensure follow-up, and report on various security topics with the lab's different teams.
  • Manage a monthly steering committee with Intact Lab leaders to discuss security strategies and initiatives.
  • Educate and raise awareness among development teams about security challenges and solutions, while maintaining the goal of an optimal developer experience.

What you bring to the table:

  • Degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience in application security, with a focus on analysis and automation of security processes.
  • Strong development skills with experience in Java and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Mastery of information security concepts and tools (cryptography, identity management, data protection, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of security testing, code audits, and vulnerability analysis tools.
  • Experience with development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) tools and automated vulnerability management.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in an agile environment, with a strong collaborative orientation.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CEH, etc.) is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) - Need to interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
