Senior Pet Stylist

Overview

We are Mai Pets Professional Grooming Salon and a member of International Groomers Association (IGA) we are not only seeking a passionate skilled and Experienced Pet Stylist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being and be their best look at the breeds. We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Pet stylist who knows their way around breed-specific trims and can deliver top-tier grooming with a gentle touch. You'll be a key part of our team, helping pets look and feel their best while building trust with their owners. Asian Fusion Grooming Style are considered.

The ideal candidate will need to have a B level certificate in grooming, advance skill in using scissors and hand stripping. 7 years + experienced in grooming dog in any salon .Ideal Candidate need to have understand thoroughly for each types of dog and types of hairs. Having strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes. This position requires high level of skills to stylist for some breeds and coaching skill in order to assist to train in training course of animal handling or grooming training. Creative styling in pet grooming and color are the bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, cutting, and styling fur according to breed standards and client preferences.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and provide recommendations for pet care.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Handle pets safely, including those that may be anxious or difficult to manage.
• Keep accurate records of services performed and any special instructions from pet owners.
• Assist in training / educating pet owners on proper grooming techniques and at-home care.
• Assist in training / educating new team member on proper grooming techniques.
• Presentation & lectures skill in order to assist advertising and promote pet branding products.

Requirements

• Professional experience with a portfolio of work is required.
• Are friendly, approachable, professional and energetic. They can professionally engage with clients at check in and out to discuss service requests and details.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets.
• Knowledge of various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs is a MUST.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Advance Level Certificate Proof is required

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
