Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Wastewater Process Technician for a casual position to be based in Winnipeg, AB. This is a 12-month temporary contract position with the potential for extension.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Support the water and wastewater group in design and construction support and project delivery tasks as required.
- Collaborate with other design professionals to delivery projects across Canada and North America.
- Review documentation for design projects and reports.
- Use BIM360 and other collaborative software and design tools to complete tasks.
- Complete quality peer reviews of drawings, design calculations and other project documents.
- Senior technical resource, may serve as technical advisor for team and may oversee work of junior level technicians
- Provides specialized technical input, with respect to operations and maintenance and commissioning.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.
- Activities may include setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma + 6 years of related, application experience or Diploma in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) and 4+years of experience
- Previous work experience in municipal wastewater related process and process mechanical design, construction, commissioning, and/or operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience on municipal construction projects
- Experience with BIM360 and SharePoint applications.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Certified or eligible for certification as a C.E.T
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Time management skills
- Ability to work in field or office conditions, and work and communicate with clients, contractors, and other AECOM staff.
