Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant or bar operations to uphold our reputation for quality service and culinary excellence.

In addition, the Food and Beverage Manager will share in the cooking and serving duties.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise all food and beverage operations, including casual dining, catering, and bar services.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
  • Utilize POS system for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
  • Train, develop, and evaluate staff members to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Supervise staff scheduling, shift management, and ensure proper staffing levels during peak hours.
  • Implement food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations and industry standards.
  • Control costs through budgeting, labor management, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with kitchen management on food production, menu updates, and special events like banquets or catering.
  • Assist in interviewing potential team members and participate in hiring decisions to build a strong team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management with a background in quick service & fast food restaurants or dining establishments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and food safety standards.
  • Experience with POS systems; cash handling skills required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant settings.
  • Excellent team management, training & development abilities, along with effective communication skills.
  • Background in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within the food industry.
  • Knowledge of kitchen management and food handling procedures.
  • Hospitality management experience including managing shifts in casual or fine dining environments is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
