The PRIDE Seeds Accountant I is responsible for compiling financial data and reporting through verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounting transactions and resolving discrepancies. This role will be required to partner with company managers to ensure compliance and accuracy of our books and records.You will work closely with other Accounting Department staff to ensure the general ledger and accounting entries are posted correctly, timely and completely. This role will maintain computerized posting and reconciling systems of various general ledger accounts, preparation or periodic financial and regulatory reports, and leasing accounts. Record financial statements to ensure accurate recording of transactions and reporting of financial matters for assisting management in monitoring and controlling operations.Position reports to PRIDE Seeds Vice President, Finance & Administration.ResponsibilitiesSAP Implementation CoordinationAssist in SAP implementation, ensuring alignment with accounting and reporting requirements.Collaborate with IT, consultants, and cross-functional teams to define system specifications and workflows.Support data migration, testing, training, and go-live activities.Identify and resolve system-related issues during and after implementation.General Accounting & Financial OperationsPrepare journal entries.Complete general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure compliance with ASPE/IFRS and internal controls.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Prepare month-end account reconciliations for AgReliant Genetics Inc and all inter-divisional accounts and investigate any unusual or inappropriate reconciling items.Prepare reports and forms required for Sales Tax and income tax relative to non-wage payments to individuals or companies.Responsible for the valuation of all inventory products and dollar reconciliations.
