About the role:

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

The Maternity Centre Dietitian has a direct reporting relationship to the Manager, Maternity Centre, with a matrix

reporting relationship for dietitian practice to the Director, Health Professions and Collaborative Practice.The

Maternity Centre Dietitian will perform all duties of a Registered Dietitian, following the scope of practice defined by

the College of Dietitians of Ontario.

If the candidate holds a current position less than or equal to (0.5) FTE, this (0.5) FTE can be added.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

* Current registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario required

* Sound working knowledge and understanding of current nutrition guidelines for nutrition throughout the lifespan

including pregnancy and infancy

* Entry‑level enteral and parenteral nutrition support skills required

* Effective communication, facilitation and presentation skills

* Effective patient/family counseling skills

* Proficiency in computer applications and software, and the utilization of telemedicine

* Coordinate clinical evidence based practices

* Experience working in an interprofessional team

* Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

* Ability to work independently

* Demonstrated organizational skills

* Proven flexibility and ability to adapt positively to change

Salary Range: $41.680 to 53.280
