Description

The Manager, Corporate Accounting is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial results across JDI's diverse business units. This position plays a critical part in the quarterly and annual financial close processes—ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and consistency in reporting across the organization.

You will partner closely with divisional finance teams, corporate controllers, and senior leadership to provide high‑quality consolidated financial information and drive continued improvements in processes and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the quarterly and year-end financial consolidation process for JDI and its business units.
  • Ensure consolidated financial statements comply with ASPE/IFRS or other relevant reporting standards as applicable.
  • Review submissions from divisions and validate accuracy, completeness, and alignment with corporate reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance the consolidation system, chart of accounts, and reporting structures.
  • Prepare consolidated analyses, management reporting packages, shareholder reporting and insights for senior leadership.
  • Support external audit processes, including preparation of working papers and responding to auditor requests. 
  • Support planning the audits for the JDI group of companies.
  • Develop, document, and improve financial reporting policies.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, fostering continuous learning and excellence.
  • Support special projects including acquisitions, reorganizations, tax planning, and process optimization initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including experience with consolidations or corporate reporting.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and Excel; experience with TM1 and Cognos Controller or other consolidation software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across the organization.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and a commitment to developing others.
  • Experience with audit engagements, either performing audits or experience supporting audits.
