Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in CNC programming, operating CNC lathes and milling machines, and utilizing various hand tools and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in manufacturing processes.

Duties

  • Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
  • Program CNC machinery using Fanuc controls and ensure optimal performance during production runs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
  • Utilize Hypertherm and Autocad software for designing parts and assemblies as needed.
  • Perform quality checks using calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of machined components.
  • Conduct basic math calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with assembly tasks as required, ensuring that all components fit together correctly.
  • Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary, following safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes and efficiency.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and operation.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining, assembly, welding, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to work effectively with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers.
