About The Role
The Senior Data Analyst role is a high-visibility position designed to work closely with Marketing Managers to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing campaigns. As part of a dynamic team, the Senior Data Analyst will leverage their expertise in data analysis, visualization, and modeling to generate actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
This role requires a deep understanding of marketing and customer data, with the goal of translating complex datasets into clear, business-oriented recommendations. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in campaign management, focusing on automating insights through data models and semantic layers. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across teams, influence marketing strategies, and contribute to the company's growth initiatives while working in a hybrid environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field; advanced degrees preferred
- Proficiency in business intelligence systems, dashboard reporting, and analytical reporting tools such as Power BI and advanced MS Excel
- Experience in data analysis processes including data wrangling, cleansing, and exploratory data analysis
- Strong foundation in statistical methods and related technical subjects
- Ability to work effectively with complex datasets and build denormalized data models
- Proven programming skills in Python and SQL; exposure to R, PySpark, or other analysis tools is a plus
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Git, DevOps, and Agile practices
- Excellent understanding of relational database models
Responsibilities
- Generate relevant, practical insights through sophisticated data analysis and visualization techniques
- Translate data-driven outputs into understandable business language and provide strategic recommendations to marketing partners
- Design and execute advanced analyses to address marketing business challenges and opportunities
- Become a subject matter expert in campaign management data and processes
- Drive automation initiatives by building data models and semantic layers to streamline insight generation
- Understand and detail various data sources, including how to aggregate them into larger datasets for comprehensive analysis
- Collaborate with marketing teams to define campaign scope, including opportunity sizing, mailing lists, segmentation, and projection
- Validate data integrity, quality, and accuracy by testing work performed by data engineers
- Perform data analysis to identify areas for campaign improvement, such as increasing conversion rates and channel penetration
- Align analytical work with broader organizational initiatives and strategic goals
- Ensure all work adheres to the highest ethical standards and data privacy regulations
