Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Financial Analyst - ANAplan/Banking and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic financial planning and analysis within a leading institution. Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and, when applicable, external contacts.
• Lead and support financial planning, forecasting, and performance reviews utilizing plan, forecast, and actual financial data to establish targets and strategic goals.
• Conduct variance analyses and forward-looking assessments to identify drivers of business performance and areas for improvement.
• Develop methodologies and policies for financial analysis, focusing on key dimensions such as revenue, expenses, balance sheet, and capital.
• Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives and business decisions, integrating findings into future forecasts and plans.
• Assess the reasonableness of business cases during investment reviews and approvals.
• Collaborate with the business to align key performance indicators with financial forecasts and strategic plans.
• Analyze complex data to provide actionable financial insights and recommendations.
• Utilize systems, reports, and tracking tools to manage information efficiently.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to specific business units, influencing decision-making through your expertise.
• Support the development of strategic plans and identify emerging economic or industry trends.
• Provide specialized consulting, technical support, and independent analysis to various teams as needed.

Desired Skill-Set

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, or asset management, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience managing FP&A functions, with proficiency in financial forecasting and modeling.
• Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel and financial systems (e.g., AnaPlan, Essbase).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, evaluate business cases, and develop strategic insights.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and policies relevant to asset management.
• Proven experience in working independently and handling non-routine analytical tasks.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Nice to Have

• Accounting expertise.
• Additional experience with AnaPlan or Essbase systems.
• Broader knowledge of treasury or economics trends.
