About the Role
As the US Tax Analyst, you will support US income tax compliance for Jim Pattison Group's US entities — with a strong focus on
maintaining fixed asset records
and
assisting with tax return preparation and documentation
. Reporting directly to the Director, US Tax, you will work closely with another US Senior Tax Analyst and divisional finance teams to gather data and ensure tax filings are accurate and timely.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update fixed asset ledgers for US tax purposes, including additions, disposals, and adjustments across multiple divisions
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for US corporate and partnership entities
- Compile and organize supporting documentation and tax working papers for internal review and external filing
- Gather data from divisional finance teams and ensure timely responses to tax information requests
- Track and compute quarterly US income tax estimates
- Assist with year-end tax provision support files
- Respond to routine notices or inquiries from US tax authorities under direction from senior team members
- Use
OneSource Income Tax
and
Microsoft Excel
to manage tax compliance processes and maintain supporting data - Operate effectively in a
high-volume, deadline-driven environment
, managing multiple tasks with accuracy - Perform other administrative and tax compliance tasks as assigned
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in US corporate income tax compliance
- Preferred
: Experience in a
public accounting firm
specializing in
US corporate tax - (Experience in US personal tax is
not
relevant for this role) - Strong preference for
newly designated Canadian or US CPAs - Experience using
OneSource Income Tax
(or equivalent software) is required - Strong proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(pivot tables, formulas, data validation, etc.) - High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and recordkeeping
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Clear, concise communication skills — both written and verbal
- Team-oriented, with a willingness to learn from and support more senior tax staff

: Work effectively within the tax team to ensure smooth coordination of filings - Professionalism
: Handle sensitive financial data with discretion and integrity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary
: $85,000 – $105,000 CAD - Competitive benefits, some of which are subject to program/plan terms based on tenure (details to be provided by leadership).
The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration the candidate's education, skills, experience, and other factors, and may not be based on the candidate's pay history.
