Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Support and After-care Teacher located in Mississauga, ON. The Support and After-care Teacher will assist in planning and implementing lessons, supporting students with their homework, and providing additional academic support as needed. The teacher will supervise students during after-care hours, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining open communication with parents and faculty regarding student progress.
This position is for: Before/After Care & Support Teacher
Job Requirements
- Experience with children
- Clear vulnerable sector check (within six months)
- Background in Education/ECE/CYW is preferred
- First aid training is preferred
Job Description
- Support will require you to be at the school for 10:00 am start time.
- After care will require you to ensure care over all students until 6:00 pm. You will be required to check ID of parents picking up and entering the times students leave into our tracking system.
- Support work can include, but is not limited to, assisting students to the washroom, helping in the kindergarten classrooms, and delivering lunches.
- Assist students with various needs whether one-on-one or in small groups.
- Help with small amounts of homework after school.
- Candidate must be energetic and compassionate.
- During March break and Summer break, there will be an opportunity for you to work full days in order to help run camp programs
This position is for 10:00am-6:00 pm on all school days.
