Position Status: Full-Time, Contract (to March 31, 2026)

Compensation: $49,000 – 52,000 per year

About the role:

We are seeking a passionate, resourceful, and highly organized Program Coordinator to lead the implementation and delivery of our new Pre-Employment Project for Racialized Immigrant Women. This initiative is designed to empower participants by increasing their confidence and readiness for employment through customized training and holistic support.

The Program Coordinator will play a critical role in the project's success, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure the program meets its objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the project, supervising a diverse and dedicated team, tracking outcomes and deliverables, writing reports, and enhancing program delivery through innovative and client-centered approaches.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide ongoing coordination and engaging leadership of all aspects of the program including annual program planning, quality assurance and evaluation
  • Coordinate continuous intake and conduct detailed assessments of participants' backgrounds, skills, and employment readiness
  • Co-develop individualized employment and training plans with participants
  • Facilitate quality training sessions (i.e. English for the workplace, essential skills, digital literacy, employment readiness)
  • Support participants in building confidence, workplace readiness, and understanding of Canadian workplace norms
  • Share current labour market trends and best practices with team members
  • Provide onsite job coaching to address workplace challenges faced by immigrant women
  • Engage employers to create sustainable employment opportunities for participants
  • Maintain detailed program records and participant documentation.
  • Collect and analyze program data to assess outcomes and inform program improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program quality and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure all program activities are in line with project objectives and contractual requirements
  • Submit monthly statistical and written reports
  • Maintain comprehensive program and participant records
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program outcomes and drive improvements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align program delivery with organizational goals.
  • Lead consistent program delivery standards and promote team collaboration
  • Recruit, onboard, supervise, and support program staff using inclusive and equitable practices
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned team culture.
  • Mentor and support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and team retention
  • Develop tools, resources, and processes informed by client and partner needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and networks.
  • Create engaging training materials, resources, and promotional content and ensure accurate representation of program activities across various platforms

Education and skills qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent combination if education and experience in a relevant field. (i.e. Women studies , adult education/training,) A Career Development professional designation and EAL certification are assets.
  • Experience working with racialized newcomers, immigrant women, or diverse marginalized populations, preferably with trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches
  • Exceptional organizational and program coordination skills, with attention to detail in planning
  • Strong understanding of the challenges newcomers face in labour market integration
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering employment readiness training
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal ad written communication, and time management skills
  • Experience in budget management, accountability, and reporting
  • Experience leading, training and supervising a team
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines and tasks
  • A proven track record of working, and coordinating with community organizations and employers
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
  • Knowledge of relevant social service and employment resources in the community
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, organizing and facilitating workshops
  • Demonstrated competency with administrative tasks
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Innovative with the ability to take initiative
  • Proficiency in English; additional language an asset
