Term of Employment: Permanent

Salary: $41.72/ hour - ICI Wage Grid

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration throughout the Division.

Key Responsibilities

-Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in HVAC systems

-Support renovations, including rough-ins, fixture installation and finishing work

-Clean air conditioning and heating units

-Complete monthly safety checks on relief/pressure valves

-Perform regular maintenance and system inspections

-Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC equipment

-Ensure all work complies with Provincial code and Division safety standards

Required Qualifications

-Journeyman Certificate - Red Seal/HVAC Tech

-Valid Class 5 Drivers License

-Class A Gas Fitter would be an asset

-Computer experience with HVACR control systems, facilities management systems and DDC Automatic controls

-Minimum of five years' experience with HVAC Systems

-Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings and understand motor schematics

-Strong communication skills both oral and written

-Strong technical/troubleshooting skills

-Ability to work with minimal supervision and to take initiative

-Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $41.72 per hour
