Security Field Supervisor

Backwoods Energy Services is seeking an experienced Security Field Supervisor to cover sites throughout Edmonton area.

Wage: TBD

Schedule: 10 Days on; 4 Days off (some on-call as needed)

The Role:

• Act as liaison between guards and management; assessing, evaluating and educating guards on deficiencies and inefficiencies; acting as an active listener and first point of contact for guard's issues and concerns; actively coaching guards on performance issues and emulating team culture.
• Review and educate employees on the timely and accurate completion of Daily Operation Reports, Field Level Hazard Assessments, Site & Equipment inspections.
• Complete site inspections on a regularly scheduled basis, using site visits to ensure we are meeting client expectations, complying with Backwoods process and protocols and addressing employee relations issues.
• Update and manage guard's certifications and training requirements
• Ensure compliance with Backwoods safety program on a daily basis, contributing to and leading by example in the building of a strong safety culture.
• Follow Backwoods safety play book, ensure all guards are following safety policies (PPE compliance, Inspections, and active involvement from guards)
• On-call as per weekly schedule to answer any questions, emergencies and other concerns which may need to be resolved outside of typical working hours.
• Utilize online software for tracking and scheduling of guards, ensure all guards are using the same systems.
• Understand contract requirements and ensure that Backwoods is fulfilling all obligations
• Maintain confidentiality of all security operations and activities of Backwoods Security Service.
• Participating in and assist in arranging community events.

What We're Looking For:

• Local to the Edmonton, AB area (required)
• Ability to reliably commute throughout Alberta
• Alberta Security License (required)
• 3-5 Years Security expereince (required)
• 3-5 years of supervisor/management experience (required)
• Class 5 Driver's License with no more than 6 demerits (required)
• Standard First Aid with CPR (required)
• CSTS (required)
• H2S Awareness (preferred)

HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED:

• Guard compliance on DOR's, FLHA's and inspections
• Guards needs and requests are resolved in a timely manner
• Site inspections are completed as agreed for each site (1 per month/ 1 per quarter)
• Complete mastery of Backwoods safety program
• 100% compliance for all Backwoods safety metrics

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:

• Mobile Security: 1 year (required)
• Security: 3 years (preferred)
• Supervisor/Manager: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Alberta Security License (required)
• Clean Driver's Abstract (Less than 6 demerits) (required)
• H2S Awareness (preferred)
• Class 5 Driver's License (required)
