As a Red Seal Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our vehicles, both for the dealership and for customer sales. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. What you'll do

  • Carry out in-house vehicle inspections in order to diagnose mechanical issues using advanced tools and techniques
  • Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other critical components to prepare vehicles for sales.
  • Collaborate with sales team and owners to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Prepare work orders and attend to parts ordering, receiving and listing.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory for efficient tracking.
  • Update customers on service/repair work & be the final QC at point of handover.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices to create a safe working environment.

Basic qualifications

  • Must have valid Red Seal certification as a mechanic.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong computer & administrative skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with electrical systems and diagnostics, scanning and fault code readers.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools
