The Embassy is a Canadian, Oscar-nominated production house, specializing in live-action production, post-production, and animation for feature films, television, and commercials. We are an independent creative studio with expertise in visual effects and production. Located in the heart of Vancouver's Digital District, we work with global production companies, agencies and brands in film, television and advertising.

About You

The Senior Assets Generalist ensures the technical and creative quality of all CG assets and is responsible for models, textures, surfaces, look development and rigging of characters, sets and props.

Your Role

  • Take an asset from concept to final, hitting all notes
  • Meet project milestones and deadlines on time
  • Collaborate with other artists to share knowledge and techniques

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of modelling/asset generalist experience in commercials, film or TV
  • Keen eye for creating realistic models
  • Strong in modelling, UV creation and texturing and skilled in at least one other area of VFX
  • Ability to create both hard surface and organic models
  • Software experience with Blender, Maya or Modo, Zbrush, Photoshop and Mari
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to take direction well, collaborate effectively in a team, and perform under tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of various aspects of the VFX pipeline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize work across multiple tasks
