Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive team. This role involves assisting customers with their parts needs, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealership operations, retail sales, and automotive repair, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual abilities and experience with dealership POS systems are highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise in parts management and customer service will be valued.

Duties

  • Assist customers in selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories based on their needs and vehicle specifications
  • Manage inventory levels, order fulfillment, and stock organization using dealership POS systems and CMMS software
  • Provide detailed product information, answer questions, and offer technical advice to customers
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and perform cashiering duties with professionalism
  • Maintain organized records of sales, orders, and customer interactions using Microsoft Excel and other organizational tools
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely parts delivery for repairs and maintenance
  • Promote additional products or services through effective communication skills and sales techniques
  • Ensure the showroom and parts area are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Support marketing efforts by providing product knowledge for promotional campaigns

Experience

  • Previous dealership experience or retail sales background preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, CMMS software, and inventory management tools
  • Experience in automotive repair or maintenance is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, math skills for order fulfillment, and excellent organizational skills are essential
  • Cash handling experience along with phone etiquette, negotiation skills, and sales management knowledge will enhance your effectiveness in this role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.77-$28.77 per hour
