About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager Corporate Accounting & Treasury, this position is responsible for assisting the OEG Finance team and its affiliated entities with the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all financial reporting requirements. They will bring hands-on accounting experience assisting with daily, month-end and year-end full-cycle bookkeeping, as well as prepare various ad-hoc financial analysis and documents as required.

Your Focus in this Role:

• Manage end-to-end processing of accounts payable, invoices, expense reports, and weekly payment run
• Prepare accounts receivable invoices and monitor collections
• Reconcile customer accounts and general ledger entries to support month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Maintain organized records of procurement transactions and ensure documentation aligns with company policies
• Support and uphold accounting controls by adhering to Finance Department procedures
• Perform monthly balance sheet schedules, including bank reconciliation
• Reconcile related party transactions
• Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis
• Support year-end audit activities
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting is required
• Minimum of three (3) years in an accounting background or related field is required
• Proactive and resourceful with an ability to "make things happen"
• Good balance of creative/communications instincts and logical, analytical skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event and promotions schedule
