Qualifications: 

  • PSW/HCA certification or diploma is a must. 
  • First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) level C Certificate
  • Police Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 1 year) 
  • 2 Steps of Tuberculosis (TB) Test and Immunizations ( up to date) 
  • Have access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel within a community
  • Strong time management skills, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Excellent communicator, able to foster relationships with Healthcare Staff and clients
  • Ability to work independently and work effectively within a team environment
  • Interest in continuous learning – high energy and focused

Responsibilities:  

  • Compassion, integrity, and quality care are all expectations of our community culture. 

  • Provide excellent care and customer service to patients.  

  •  Assist clients with daily activities - perform delegated tasks as required. 

  •  Support clients in maintaining a safe living environment.  

  •  Offer companionship and provide psychological and emotional support. 

  • Promote client independence. 

  •  Provide clear, timely communication to the client, family and any stakeholders. 

  •  Collaborate with the care team to ensure the best possible care for clients.
