Production Technology Manager

This is a hands-on, live event role that operates outside the standard 9–5. The Production Technology Manager is expected to support events that take place during nights, weekends, and holidays, including major sports games, and concerts. Work is performed in office and venue environments, including control rooms, production booths, press boxes, catwalks, field-level areas, banquet rooms and meeting rooms.
What You'll Do:
Technical Operations & Support: Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot audio, video, broadcast, and digital signage systems, including LED displays, production switchers, replay systems, audio consoles, intercoms, and sports scoring interfaces. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system diagnostics to ensure reliability.
Event & Game Day Support: Provide hands-on technical support during live events to ensure all production systems perform as required. Support production teams, freelance operators, and external partners, responding quickly to real-time technical issues.
Systems & Infrastructure Support: Assist with the maintenance of networked AV and broadcast systems, including video walls, audio networks (e.g., Dante, Q-SYS), control systems, and lighting servers. Maintain system documentation and support upgrades and refresh initiatives.
Collaboration & Customer Service: Work closely with internal departments, visiting production crews, and external stakeholders to deliver professional, responsive, and solutions-focused technical support.
Project & Vendor Coordination: Support system upgrades and improvement projects, including testing, commissioning, acceptance, and coordination with vendors and service providers.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years in AV, broadcast, or live event production in stadiums, arenas, or broadcast environments.
Hands-on experience with live sports production.
Technical knowledge of broadcast/video switchers, replay servers, video routers, cameras, audio consoles, DSPs, intercoms, digital signage, LED walls, and AV control systems.
Understanding of network fundamentals (VLANs, routing, switches, fiber/copper).
Strong troubleshooting skills with diagnostic tools.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management in high-pressure live events.
Diploma/degree in Broadcast Technology, Audio Engineering, IT/Networking, or related field.
Relevant certifications (CTS, Dante, Q-SYS, Crestron, CCNA/Network+) preferred.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 – 95,000.
Offers will be in line with PavCo's internal pay equity and qualified candidate's experience and education.
