Uniboard is seeking a Marketing Manager for our head office in Laval.

Your day-to-day:

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the person in this role will be responsible for developing and executing Uniboard's marketing plan. The Marketing Manager is responsible for strategy and operations, including all marketing and communications activities for the Canadian and U.S. markets. You will act as an expert in promotional strategies and product support to drive sales and achieve objectives.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develop and implement customer-focused marketing programs through customer analysis and competitive benchmarking to enhance Uniboard products
  • Provide support to the sales team through the development of sales programs, presentations, and promotional tools
  • Oversee marketing communications, including branding, advertising, promotions, and events
  • Develop and execute Uniboard's digital and social media strategy
  • Collaborate with partners and external suppliers to support Uniboard's marketing initiatives
  • Ensure effective project management and coordination of product commercialization activities
  • Develop, track, and report on success metrics for all marketing programs and activities
  • Lead and manage market research related to new product launches and competitive trends
  • Prepare and present business cases to the executive and sales management teams
  • Provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of the marketing department while maintaining a focus on the company's strategic objectives
  • Strengthen teamwork through the management and supervision of the marketing team
  • Establish performance objectives for marketing department employees and monitor performance on an ongoing basis
  • Organize and maintain the collection of key data on market volumes, market share, etc.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending industry events, reviewing professional publications, building personal networks, etc.
Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or another relevant field
  • Relevant experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar role
  • Experience developing English-language markets in Canada and the United States
  • Bilingual (English–French), spoken and written: the role requires interacting with English-speaking stakeholders and/or consulting/drafting documentation in English
  • Dynamic, team-oriented, proactive, and autonomous
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and rigor
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed and internationally (4 to 6 times per year, 2 to 5 days)
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial action plans that include customer retention strategies
  • Good knowledge of OEMs and distribution channels
  • Knowledge of kitchen design and furniture industry trends (an asset)
  • Ability to manage professional relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Experience in the construction and renovation industries (an asset)
