Job Summary
Board Directors collectively oversee the governance, strategic direction, and fiscal health of DARTS. Each Director brings their unique perspective and skills to advance the mission of accessible transit for individuals with disabilities and seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in board and committee meetings.
- Uphold fiduciary duties and act in the best interest of the organization.
- Support and monitor DARTS' strategic plan and performance.
- Participate in Board committees and contribute to organizational development.
- Serve as an ambassador for DARTS in the community.
- Review and approve budgets, reports, and policies.
- Establishes and guides the mission, strategy and goals and oversees all operations.
- Board members assume a Governance Role.
Qualifications
- Must be a member of the Corporation and at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrated commitment to accessibility, equity, and community service.
- Ability to understand and act on financial and operational reports.
- Willingness to serve on at least one standing or ad hoc committee.
