About The Role
The R&D Systems Engineering intern works in collaboration with the R&D Engineering team to design cutting-edge medical devices through testing and create various technical documents.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Researches, develops, designs, and evaluates electrical and electro-mechanical material, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment.
• Conducts feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality.
• Develops new concepts from initial design to market release.
• Directs support personnel and coordinates project activities.
• Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.
• Continuously improve processes and work methodologies (using agile/lean principles to eliminate waste) to help solve complex problems.
• Contribute to software/system risk assessment activities, Use Design FMEA's activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or biomedical engineering
• 1+ years of experience with product development activities in a regulated industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with power circuit design / power semiconductors and magnetic components.
• Experience with analog circuit design.
• Experience with low-speed digital circuit design.
• Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with a team efficiently and independently.

Responsabilités

• Effectuer des recherches, développer, concevoir et évaluer du matériel, des composants, des assemblages, des processus ou des équipements électriques et électromécaniques.
• Mener des études de faisabilité pour vérifier les capacités et les fonctionnalités.
• Développer de nouveaux concepts, de l'étude initiale à la mise sur le marché.
• Diriger du personnel de soutien et coordonner les activités liées aux projets.
• Assurer la tenue d'une documentation détaillée à toutes les étapes du processus de recherche et de développement.
• Améliorer en permanence les processus et les méthodes de travail (en appliquant les principes Agile/Lean pour éliminer le gaspillage) afin de contribuer à la résolution de problèmes complexes.
• Contribuer aux activités d'évaluation des risques des logiciels et des systèmes; utiliser les activités d'AMDE de conception.

Compétences requises

• Baccalauréat en génie électrique ou biomédical.
• Au moins un an d'expérience dans des activités de développement de produits dans un secteur réglementé.
• Excellentes aptitudes en matière de résolution de problèmes dans un environnement d'équipe.
• Excellentes aptitudes en matière d'organisation, de communication et de collaboration.
• Solides compétences en matière de documentation.

Compétences souhaitées

• Expérience dans le domaine de la conception de circuits de puissance, de semi-conducteurs de puissance et de composants magnétiques.
• Expérience dans le domaine de la conception de circuits analogiques.
• Expérience dans le domaine de la conception de circuits numériques à basse vitesse.
