Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and effective communication with both clients and team members.

Duties

  • Operate a van to transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner. Planned route for Saturday, Sunday nights Edmonton to three out of town locations.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Perform lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
  • Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
  • Operate forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
  • Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently while on the road.
