Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Personal Trainer / Kinesiologist to join our multidisciplinary wellness team. The successful candidate will design evidence-based fitness programs, conduct movement and postural assessments, and coach clients toward improved health, performance, and recovery. This role combines the science of kinesiology with the art of motivation — empowering clients to achieve lasting results through personalized exercise prescription, education, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Program Design: Conduct movement screenings, functional and postural assessments, and develop individualized exercise programs aligned with each client's goals, abilities, and medical considerations.
- Personal & Small Group Training: Deliver engaging, professional, and safe one-on-one and small-group sessions across strength, mobility, and conditioning disciplines.
- Client Progression: Track and evaluate client progress using measurable data; adjust training plans to promote continued development and injury prevention.
- Education & Coaching: Teach proper exercise technique, biomechanics, and recovery strategies while promoting sustainable lifestyle habits including sleep, nutrition, and stress management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physiotherapists, RMTs, and other wellness professionals to create integrated care plans for shared clients.
- Environment & Equipment: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming training space that reflects a premium client experience.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately log client attendance, notes, and progress updates within the company's management platform.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry certifications, emerging research, and best practices in functional training and rehabilitation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness & Health Promotion, or related field.
- Certification from a recognized organization (CSEP, NSCA, ACE, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in personal training, corrective exercise, or active rehabilitation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and connect with diverse clientele.
- Excellent time management and organization to balance multiple clients and priorities.
- Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and continuous learning.
- CPR & First Aid certification (current).
- Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset.
