Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Independent Contractor to support various logistical and operational tasks. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work independently in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the ability to handle physical tasks efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals with a background in commercial driving, forklift operation, or heavy lifting who enjoy moving goods and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move and transport goods within warehouses or job sites using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual handling techniques
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed
  • Operate commercial vehicles for deliveries or pickups as needed
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory movements
  • Assist with warehouse organization, including stacking, sorting, and cleaning work areas
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs professionally and promptly

Requirements

  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or commercial driving is preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical moving tasks regularly
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus
  • Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is desirable
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation to reach various job sites
  • Excellent time management skills and a self-starter attitude

This role offers the flexibility of working independently while contributing significantly to logistical operations. Candidates should be committed to safety, efficiency, and delivering quality service at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
