A Welder Apprentice assists experienced welders in various tasks, gaining hands-on experience and developing skills in welding techniques. This role involves a combination of fieldwork, technical training, and adherence to safety protocols.
RESPONSIBILITES
What You'll Be Doing:
- Adheres to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance.
- Communicates any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service.
- Components in cutting and grinding structural steel.
QUALIFICATIONS
What You'll Need For Success:
- Must be in a registered Canadian apprentice program.
- Follow Badger's best practices with a focus on Best Operator, Best Truck.
- 2-3 years of related experience.
- Proficient in SMAW, GMAW welding in all positions.
- Metal Core is a plus
