Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to support the operational backbone of our litigation finance business. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong interest in legal and financial services who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Operations Associate will assist with internal processes, documentation, and client lifecycle management to help ensure the efficiency and scalability of our business operations.

Reports To: Director of Operations / Chief Operating Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operational activities including onboarding of new files, data entry, and funding coordination.
- Maintain accurate and organized records in internal systems (CRM, legal finance software, spreadsheets).
- Liaise with law firms to obtain documentation, manage follow-ups, and ensure timely processing of applications and disbursements.
- Review and verify legal documents (e.g., retainer agreements, court filings, settlement documentation) for completeness and compliance.
- Track and manage disbursement recoveries, repayment schedules, and case milestones.
- Assist with reporting to management and stakeholders on operational metrics and funding activity.
- Identify process improvements and assist with developing SOPs to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide administrative support across departments, including scheduling, file management, and internal communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in an operational or administrative role, preferably in a legal, financial, or professional services firm.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing client and law firm relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM or legal case management systems is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to litigation funding, legal services, insurance, or asset-based lending.
- Familiarity with personal injury, estate, or class action legal workflows.
- Experience working with confidential client information and adhering to compliance standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
