About the Role

As Senior Manager in our New Verticals Strategy & Operations business, you will be responsible for spearheading the growth of our Grocery, Retail, Convenience, and Alcohol businesses across our Canadian market. You will lead short term execution and long term strategy, grow our topline volume, identify cost saving and efficiency opportunities, and so much more You will report to a Director on our Strategy & Operations team and lead a small team of individual contributors.

Build. You'll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash's New Verticals business, across small, medium and enterprise businesses. You'll do whatever it takes to launch, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to nitty-gritty operational details.Strategize. From first principles, you'll support in developing the optimal strategy for best serving our customers, shoppers, and merchants.Manage. You'll manage a P&L, manage a high-performing team and manage cross-functional stakeholders. Experiment. You'll transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes, informing your larger initiative implementation plans.Analyze. You'll analyze the customer and use that data to inform strategy. You'll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data. We're excited about you because…
You are a self-starter – You have a bias for action and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.You are financially sound. You will manage the P&L of our New Verticals Canadian business. You understand what moves a P&L and how business outcomes impact our financials. You are a problem solver – You have a talent for synthesizing complex problems, can translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and enjoy implementing a processYou are analytical – You use data to inform tough decisions, and are comfortable operating at both the 10,000 foot level and at the 10 inch level. You are comfortable in tools like Excel, SQL and more You work to get 1% better every day – You're always looking for opportunities to better your work product and those around you. You own the outcome – both the good and the bad.You have 8-12+ years experience in consulting, finance or related strategy and operations experienceYou are leader - you have managed teams in the past for at least 3+ yearsYou are an industry expert - you have experience in the retail, grocery, food & beverage or CPG space. Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within British Columbia. $184,000—$230,000 CAD About DoorDash
