Accounting Coordinator

Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our expanding finance team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations and helps maintain the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our financial data as the business continues to scale across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger entries.
- Process accounts payable and receivable; manage invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
- Support payroll processing and related documentation as needed.
- Participate in governmental filings and compliance reporting under the direction of the Controller.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking.
- Collaborate with the Controller and finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Maintain clean, consistent, and accurate data entry in a regulated industry where precision is critical.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively under supervision while managing responsibilities independently.
- Comfortable adapting to change and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience with governmental filings or compliance reporting.
- Background in cost accounting or managerial accounting principles.
