What You Will Do

Providence Health Care's Mental Health Program is now accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Patient Care Manager (PCM) to join their team. Reporting to the Program Director, PCMs are key operations leaders within our Mental Health Program. providing operational leadership and support to interdisciplinary team members in the provision of quality care to patients and their families. This role will primarily support inpatient mental health units at St. Paul's Hospital.

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership:
    Oversees daily operations and care delivery across St. Paul's Hospital's acute inpatient mental health units, ensuring trauma-informed, culturally safe, effective, and person- and family-centred care in collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Support and develop staff:
    Mentors interdisciplinary teams, including Clinical Nurse Leaders and front-line staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and excellence in clinical practice.
  • Drive quality improvement and resource stewardship:
    Leads initiatives to enhance care quality and efficiency, manages staffing and budgets, and ensures alignment with program and organizational goals.

What You Bring

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a related Health Profession plus a minimum of five (5) years' experience at the middle management level in a medium to large health care organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background in nursing preferred.
