Production Worker

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious person to join our team, as we strive to continue to be the glass fabricator of choice for our clients across North America. The chosen candidate will be placed into a specific production role and then be expected to cross-train across other similar roles, while following our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). This role requires a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and teamwork.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate machinery, equipment, and hand tools.
• Perform all tasks and follow detailed SOPs and WIs in a precise, safe, and timely manner.
• Inspect glass for defects, damages, or quality issues.
• Separate damaged products from those that are in good condition and report issues to supervisors for further action.
• Notify management of any deviations in production quality, performance, or other roadblocks and implement corrective actions as directed.
• Lift, carry, and move materials and products weighing up to 50lbs throughout the entire shift.
• Maintain accurate counts and records of completed units.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure that production goals are met, and workflows are efficient.
• Assist with various tasks involved in the production process, which may include setting up machinery, monitoring production runs, and making adjustments as needed.
• Engage in activities related to maintaining production efficiency, such as checking inventory levels, replenishing supplies, and ensuring that production workflows are smooth.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations and timely production.
• Ensure all operations are performed in compliance with the SOPs, WIs, company safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with machinery and glass products and components; encourage a culture of safety on the production floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following housekeeping standards to promote safety and efficiency.
• Comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all aspects of the job.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
• Perform additional tasks as needed based on production demands, company needs, or supervisory requests.

Required Qualifications

• Good communication skills to interact with team members and management.
• Experience with safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to accurately use and read tape measures in both Imperial and Metric units.
• Ability to stand throughout the entire time on shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently and through entirety of shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, in a continuous manner, in a fast-paced environment, including lifting and extending arms through entirety of shift.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
