Mold Maintenance / Setup Technician
.

This role plays a key part in supporting daily production, ensuring equipment uptime, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and highly automated operation. You'll work closely with production and maintenance teams to perform tooling changeovers, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help maintain consistent product quality across the facility.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


• Performing general maintenance on power molding presses


• Completing mould/tooling changeovers and executing machine startups


• Troubleshooting mechanical and quality-related issues reported by machine operators


• Supporting production to meet daily output targets while maintaining safety and quality standards


• Collaborating with an experienced trades team across two shifts


• Maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, and communication with supervisors


• Participating in departmental meetings, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities

Mandatory Requirements:


• Experience with maintenance of power molding presses


• Strong mechanical troubleshooting capability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment


• Experience completing machine changeovers and equipment setup


• Background in large-scale or high-volume production; automotive experience is considered an asset


• Ability to work onsite in Brampton, ON and legally eligible to work long-term (valid work permit or PR/citizenship required)


• Effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with operators and trades teams

Preferred Requirements:


• Experience in automotive, injection molding, or other high-speed manufacturing operations


• Comfort working with highly automated machinery


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to shifting production priorities

Hourly Rate:
$33/hr + shift premiums ($0.50 afternoons / $1.00 nights)

Shift:
Day/Afternoon rotation (bi-weekly)

Vacation:
2 weeks (flexible to 3 for experienced candidates)

Benefits:
90% coverage + 3% RRSP match
