Western Aerial Applications is a general charter VFR Helicopter operator with it's own AMO for the maintenance of the fleet. A large majority of our operations involve the aerial application (spraying) of various farm and industrial chemicals, as well as fertilizer. WAA is also involved in fire suppression and other utility work. WAA's main hangar is at the Chilliwack airport, however many of our projects take us across the country.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) located in Chilliwack, BC with field work as required. Rotational schedule may be available for the right candidate. The AME will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on AS350, B212, B206 and Hiller12E and 12E/T. Ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulatory standards. Daily tasks include inspecting aircraft, identifying issues, performing necessary repairs, and maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Skills in Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Systems and Airworthiness standards
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Preference to those applicants bringing experience on at least one of WAA's current types.
