Danish Pastry House, a producer of high-quality breads and pastries, is currently hiring a full-time permanent Oven Operator / Baker fornightshift. With one weekend day We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual with a solid oven operator background. The ideal candidate would have experience preferably within a food manufacturing / industrial bakery environment, and has extensive experience with puff pastry, croissants and laminated dough. Oven operator will have to be able to work under production manager and follow his directions. Be able to share time between ovens and production.

This Position May Include the Following Tasks: Ensure quality of products meets established standards including visual appearance, product dimensions, and physical characteristics Monitor and operate proofer, oven, and other related equipment Set up and break down proofer, oven, and other equipment as required Set and adjusting panel controls to regulate oven and proofer as per product standards and specifications Take samples, check and record weight Improve quality of products by evaluating, recording, and communicating suggestions/ adjustments in the process to production mangers Comply with all applicable legislative and food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures. Comply with Company policies Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements: Experience with puff pastry/ croissants/ laminated dough Danish pastry and bread knowledge an asset Have knowledge of temperatures, chemical reactions, and bakery products Ability to operate ovens, proofers, and make adjustments as needed Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Ability and skill follow direction for baking process and products. Strong communication and math skills Ability to work a flexible or irregular 8-hour shift Availability to work nights Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
