Internships @ Wealthsimple At Wealthsimple, we offer 4 to 8-month internships that are open to co-op and non-co-op students, and recent grads. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that are changing the landscape of financial services for Canadians. You will be on a team that supports your growth, provides mentorship, and connects you to the broader Wealthsimple community
Our internship program follows a hybrid work model, where you'll be working from our Toronto headquarters on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This structure offers the flexibility of remote work, while also providing the collaboration, connection, and mentorship that come from being together in person
Eligibility Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution or technical bootcamp New graduates - Within 6 months of your graduation date Available to work full-time hours Residing in Canada Able to commute to our Toronto HQ on Wednesdays and Thursdays
About the Team The Workplace Ops & Real Estate team create the physical spaces that define Wealthsimple's culture, brand, and employee experience. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Workplace Design Intern to support our ongoing workplace initiatives
About the role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Real Estate Operations, this role will support architectural documentation and workplace design initiatives across active office projects and our existing portfolio. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone eager to apply their technical skills in a real-world corporate real estate environment while learning how workplace strategy, design, and operations intersect
Please note: This is an in office position Monday - Friday out of our Toronto Headquarters. In this role you'll have the opportunity to Support the creation of architectural documentation by conducting field verifications and accurately drafting up-to-date AutoCAD floor plans for our existing office spaces. Assist in test-fitting exercises, space utilization analysis, and the creation of preliminary design layouts. Provide dedicated administrative and technical support during the Schematic Design and Design Development phases of office projects. Help compile presentations, design narratives, and finish/material boards to communicate design concepts to stakeholders. Support the team in managing the flow of information and tracking deliverables with external consultants. Assist with general project coordination tasks, including maintaining project trackers, organizing files, and monitoring key deadlines What you'll bring A high level of proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with Revit or other 3D modeling/visualization software is a significant asset. Strong foundational knowledge of architectural drawings and the typical phases of a design and construction project (SD, DD, CD). Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail, particularly in the precision required for floor plan documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex spatial and design information clearly. A proactive, independent, and adaptable work ethic, comfortable taking initiative and managing competing priorities in a dynamic team environment. Why Wealthsimple?
