The Sts'its'ápn̓ew̓as Employment & Future Skills Department is seeking a Program Officer to coordinate and support the full life cycle of Training & Trades Centre (TTC) programs. This role is ideal for someone who values relationship-building, cultural pride, student success, and delivering high-quality programming that helps Members reach their training and employment goals.
You will work closely with students, instructors, the Health & Wellness Counsellor, and TTC leadership to coordinate intakes, assessments, scheduling, student supports, data tracking, and program readiness, ensuring every student feels welcomed, supported, and set up for success.

What You'll Do- Complete student intake processes and manage all file setup and tracking within TTC databases.
- Work one-on-one with students daily to identify training needs, determine optimal programs, and provide resource referrals as needed.
- Ensure students meet with the Health & Wellness Counsellor and relay program updates or changes regarding student supports.
- Monitor student compliance and escalate complex cases to management.
- Coordinate all program components including cultural training, safety training, technical training, and job-readiness supports.
- Maintain program tracking binders and ensure up-to-date, accurate records throughout each program cycle.
- Support students in navigating barriers such as housing, transportation, or other challenges impacting participation.
- Prepare and maintain TTC program budget binders, ensuring accurate cost coding and documentation.
- Manage student files within TTC databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Use Microsoft Excel and TTC's computerized databases to track numbers, progress, and program outcomes.
- Research, coordinate, and facilitate community-based surveys/sessions to gather information on training interests and industry needs.
- Participate in fundraising activities, special projects, and community events that support Employment & Future Skills programming.
- Certificate in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas like coordination, facilitation, budgeting, tracking, and program planning.
- Experience in program coordination, planning, student support, tracking, budgeting, or related duties.
- Experience working with First Nations communities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and support others with tact and diplomacy.
- High emotional intelligence, patience, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to manage complex information and present it in meaningful ways.
- Excellent time management, reliability, and organizational skills.
- Able to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and navigate challenging situations calmly.

Salary: $47,000 - $66,000
Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
