Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Early Learning Centre, the Supply Educator provides children in the Early Learning Centre a safe and nurturing early learning environment. The Supply Educator is available to work on very short periods of notice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 (two) year diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education;

  • Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators as a member in good standing.  Registration is an asset;

  • Clear police check for the vulnerable sector issued within the past 6 (six) months;

  • Immunization record as recommended by Ottawa Public Health;

  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR C Certification;

  • Mature interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Flexibility, initiative, enthusiasm, commitment to the growth of the children and the training of students;

  • Good organizational, multi tasking, communication and problem-solving skills

This position requires on-site work at Algonquin College's Woodroffe (Ottawa) Campus.
