Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of Holland Liquor, providing exceptional service and expert product knowledge to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and possesses strong communication skills, with a passion for retail sales and customer satisfaction. Liquor store experience and especially wine knowledge is highly valued. This position offers an engaging environment where your sales skills and product expertise can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Restocking shelves, maintaining a clean and healthy environment in the store.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
- Should be great and fluent in communicating with customers and making them feel like home.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering personalized recommendations
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and organizing back-stock
- Uphold store policies on phone etiquette, cleanliness, and safety protocols
- The position requires flexibility with scheduling. Our primary needs are Fridays and Saturdays from 3 PM to 10 PM (occasionally until midnight). Sunday shifts may be required at times. Weekday shifts are generally not needed, but you may be called in occasionally if required."
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in liquor store sales highly required
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic math for cash handling and transactions
- Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features effectively
- Merchandising skills with an eye for organization and presentation
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
- Excellent phone etiquette for remote inquiries or follow-up calls
- Upselling skills to enhance sales performance while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Organizational skills to manage inventory, stock displays, and daily responsibilities effectively

Job Type: Part-time
