Mold Setter

The mold setter is responsible for setting molds and starting presses with the established process. Maintenace is included in this position as well, as there are only a few mold changes per day. The position reports to the shift supervisor for daily assignments. Technical support and direction are provided by the Lead Processer.

KEY DUTIES

Safety: work in a safe manner, follow all safety policies and procedures, and alert the supervisor immediately about any safety issues in the facility.

Quality: follow all processes and make recommendations for improvement to the supervisor

Cost: review mold set up and startup methodology for improvement and make recommendations to supervisor

Teamwork: interact with other positions to ensure mold set ups, startups, and shutdowns are smooth and efficient

Work with shift supervisor and material handler to ensure the understanding of the daily production schedule and what jobs need to be set in the Work Centers.

Verify Process Controls of existing presses running including but not limited to: Mold Temperature, Barrel Temperature, Cycle Time, Material Moisture, Check for splay, Checking nozzle leaks

Follows company health and safety, 5S, and ISO policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three (3) to Five (5) years of plastic injection mold experience
• Material handling experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Willing to work flexible work schedule
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
