Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to meet service demands during busy periods.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cooking, serving, and cleaning as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques is required.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is advantageous.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
