Vice-President, Head of AI
Fairstone Financial is seeking an exceptional Head of AI to architect and lead the company's next-generation artificial intelligence strategy — one that translates innovation into measurable business outcomes across revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
This leader will define and execute an enterprise AI roadmap that embeds intelligence into every workflow, transforming how decisions are made, how work gets done, and how customers are served. Beyond building models, the Head of AI will focus on end-to-end workflow automation and orchestration — the next frontier in enterprise productivity — ensuring AI becomes a sustainable driver of competitive advantage.
The role reports directly to the Chief Business & Growth Officer and is a cornerstone of Fairstone's transformation strategy as the organization scales toward its multi-billion-dollar growth ambition.
Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Value Creation
- Build and execute Fairstone's enterprise AI strategy with clear linkages to business growth, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Define and track North Star metrics for AI success — revenue lift, efficiency gains, automation rate, and time-to-decision improvements.
- Partner with business unit leaders to identify high-value use cases where AI-powered workflows can drive meaningful financial impact.
- Embed AI within business and operational processes to improve speed, accuracy, and scale of decision-making.
- Lead the creation of a Fairstone AI roadmap that prioritizes investments based on business impact and readiness.
Workflow Transformation
- Champion the design and implementation of AI-powered workflows that integrate across systems, teams, and channels — shifting from 'point AI tools' to connected, intelligent processes.
- Collaborate with Technology, Data, and Operations to establish a workflow automation platform and governance standards.
- Measure and optimize workflow efficiency gains (e.g., task automation, process cycle time reduction, error rate improvements).
- Position Fairstone as a pioneer in using AI workflows to reimagine financial services delivery and productivity.
AI Pods & Business Enablement
- Deploy and oversee AI pods embedded within business units to accelerate use-case delivery, workflow adoption, and capability transfer.
- Align pod outcomes with business KPIs — revenue growth, efficiency ratios, and customer NPS.
- Drive a test-and-learn culture around workflow optimization, supported by agile sprints and shared success metrics.
Organizational Capability & Change Leadership
- Build AI fluency across the enterprise by developing training programs and workflow literacy for all teams.
- Establish internal communities of practice that link AI specialists, product teams, and business leaders through shared workflows and success stories.
- Serve as a visible AI evangelist across Fairstone and the broader financial ecosystem, promoting ethical, compliant, and responsible AI adoption.
What You Bring
- Demonstrated transformation leadership — you have led large-scale change, built new capabilities from the ground up, and successfully embedded new technologies or processes that improved business performance. You can connect strategic intent to operational execution, rally cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- AI and workflow expertise — you bring deep understanding of applied AI, data science, and intelligent automation, coupled with a strong grasp of how to design and scale enterprise workflows that enhance speed, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Strategic mindset — you can shape and communicate a long-term AI vision, build actionable roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives based on business impact and readiness.
- Proven record of value creation — you've delivered tangible results such as revenue growth, cost-to-serve reduction, operational efficiency, or customer experience improvements through technology-enabled transformation.
- Cross-functional influence — you excel at working across Marketing, Technology, Operations, Data & Analytics, and Strategy, building trust and alignment with senior leaders.
- People leadership — you inspire, coach, and build high-performing teams across technical and business functions, fostering a culture of experimentation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Analytical and disciplined — you use metrics and insight to drive decisions, applying test-and-learn methodologies and clear performance frameworks.
- Regulatory and ethical awareness — you understand the governance and compliance implications of AI and automation in a regulated financial environment.
- Education — Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, business analytics, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent business background preferred.
