Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for applications, APIs, and microservices.
  • Conduct secure code reviews (manual and automated) to identify vulnerabilities such as XSS, SQL injection, CSRF, authentication flaws, and insecure deserialization.
  • Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, Container Scanning).
  • Work closely with development teams to guide secure coding practices and fix identified vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and maintain AppSec tools such as Burp Suite, Checkmarx, SonarQube, Veracode, Fortify, Snyk, or OWASP ZAP.
  • Create security standards, policies, and best practices based on OWASP Top 10, NIST, and industry frameworks.
  • Perform penetration testing on web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Design and implement security controls in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for application workloads.
  • Manage and improve application identity and access management, encryption, secrets management, and API security.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed DevSecOps principles and automate security processes.
  • Monitor applications for security threats, perform incident analysis, and support remediation efforts.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs for developers on secure coding and threat prevention.
  • Document findings, create detailed reports, and present security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
