What we offer
As the Communications Channels Specialist, you will support and maintain Mattamy's internal communications channels, including Our House (SharePoint intranet), Viva Engage (internal social media), ContactMonkey (internal email tool) and Mattamy On Air (Transistor podcast platform), collaborating with internal partners to ensure content is relevant, timely and effective. You will also audit and update Mattamy's employer brand (Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn) and corporate website content. With a strong understanding of internal communications, user-experience and audience needs, you will creatively implement and optimize tools, channels and features to drive engagement and inspire action across North America.

What you'll do
- Refresh and continuously improve Our House, Viva Engage, Mattamy On Air and ContactMonkey, while providing best practice recommendations to internal partners
- Prepare, format and distribute our bi-weekly employee newsletter, Our House Review
- Leverage analytics, feedback and best practices to proactively shape and improve our communications channel strategies (e.g., identifying and implementing new features or improvements)
- Audit and update corporate content on our employer brand platforms and two external websites, coordinating with internal teams to ensure content is up-to-date, relevant and timely
- Serve as the key point of contact for ContactMonkey, providing training, troubleshooting and guidance to maximize effectiveness and impact
- Support Mattamy On Air production logistics, including topic selection, guest coordination, recording schedules, distribution and analytics. Liaise with external vendors, host and internal guests to maximize audience engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal teams from all levels and areas of the organization
- Contribute fresh ideas and assist with a variety of projects as part of a small, cross-functional Communications team, embracing an iterative role that evolves to help achieve team and company goals
What you bring
- Degree and/or post-graduate certificate in Communications, Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in internal communications or communications technology
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of ContactMonkey or similar internal email tools (e.g., PoliteMail, Staffbase, Poppulo)
- Tech-savvy and solutions-oriented, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, learn new tools quickly, and stay on top of best practices to continuously improve processes
- Experience using analytics and reporting tools to make data-driven decisions and optimize communication strategies
- Skilled at building strong relationships, collaborating and communicating with colleagues across all levels and functions, both in-person and virtually
- Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks from end-to-end in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Self-motivated and able to work with autonomy, yet thrives in a collaborative, team environment
Bonus points
- HTML/CSS knowledge for SharePoint
- Experience with podcast production
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $57,500 - $87,500. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills. We recognize that exceptional situations may fall outside this range, and we encourage all interested candidates to apply.
You are also eligible to participate in Mattamy's annual bonus program which gives you the opportunity to increase your total compensation if business and individual goals are achieved.
