Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Valve Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep technical valve knowledge and leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for daily valve repairs in a shop environment and mentoring junior technicians to uphold our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily repair and troubleshooting of various valve types in a shop setting.
  • Lead and mentor junior valve technicians, fostering a culture of safety, learning, and excellence.
  • Work with a wide range of valves including:
  • Ball valves
  • Pressure seal gate valves
  • Choke valves
  • Globe valves
  • Wedge gate valves
  • Check valves
  • Butterfly valves
  • Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble valves.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports using basic computer systems.
  • Communicate effectively with management and shop personnel to ensure workflow efficiency and job clarity.

Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience in valve repair and troubleshooting (minimum 5 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of hand tooling and mechanical repair techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead and train junior technicians.
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., data entry, report writing, email communication).
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
